Dr. Alessandro Piras, DVM

Dr. Alessandro Piras is a Specialist in Veterinary Surgery and is an Internationally recognised expert in Canine and Feline Orthopaedics. He is also one of the pioneering fathers of Canine Sport Medicine with more than 35 years of experience in the field of sporting and working dogs. He is an international lecturer, author of several chapters in leading textbooks, founder of multiple veterinary organizations and veterinary hospitals. For more than 20 years, Alessandro has been one of the leading figures in reshaping AOVET International, undoubtly the world most prestigious Veterinary Orthopaedic Association.
